1. Warranty Period and Target Audience Terms
A two (2) year limited warranty applies to products purchased from authorized ASOMTOM channels. It covers all manufacturing defects. (All free accessories are not covered under the warranty service.)
The warranty is automatically registered when the initial purchaser orders and receives the product from our online store, and it applies only to the original owner and the original product.
For warranty transfer, the transferee of an electric bicycle will be eligible for warranty coverage only if both of the following conditions are met:
① The 2-year warranty package has not expired since the original owner received it.
② The new owner possesses the name of the original purchaser and the original order number.
2.Covered Products
ASOMTOM will replace any components deemed defective or damaged (including damage caused during transportation), unless due to user error. The warranty covers the listed products and follows the terms below:
2.1 Battery
ASOMTOM batteries are covered by a 2-year proportional warranty.
Within the first 2 years of service, defective batteries will be repaired or replaced free of charge for customers. The warranty period for repaired or replaced batteries will align with the original purchase date.
No cash compensation will be provided.
Batteries can only be assessed for defects by ASOMTOM directly.
This limited warranty does not cover:
① Defects or damage caused by accidents, misuse, improper use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing, or similar activities not intended for the product's intended use), improper storage, exposure to liquids, contact with chemicals, moisture, abrasives, sand or dirt, negligence, or abnormal physical, electrical, or electromechanical stress.
② Defects or damage caused by external factors, such as collisions, fires, floods, storms, lightning, earthquakes, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuses, or any improper use of power sources.
③ Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage unless caused by ASOMTOM.
④ Products with removed, soiled, damaged, altered, or illegible serial numbers or barcodes.
⑤ Defects or damage caused by assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, servicing, repair, or adjustment of the product in a manner inconsistent with the assembly instructions or user manual.
⑥ Product defects or damage caused by the use of accessories, products, or auxiliary/peripheral equipment not provided or endorsed by ASOMTOM.
⑦ Normal wear and tear.
⑧ Defects or damage caused by unauthorized modifications.
Additionally, for batteries, this limited warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from the following actions or circumstances:
① Charging with a charger not suitable or intended for the battery.
② Improper use of the battery charger.
③ Any signs of tampering or broken seals on the battery.
④ Use of the battery in devices other than the specified bicycle.
2.2 Frame
ASOMTOM electric bicycle frames are covered by a 2-year replacement warranty.
This warranty only includes frame replacement. It does not cover labor costs associated with transferring components to the replacement frame, and authorized ASOMTOM service representatives will determine if the frame meets the replacement criteria.
ASOMTOM reserves the right to use frames with scratches and dents from inventory when replacing frames. ASOMTOM may choose to replace out-of-stock frame styles and/or colors with compatible ones.
Frame issues excluded from this warranty include, but are not limited to:
① Corrosion.
② Paint fading, scratches, and impact marks.
③ Damages from impacts.
④ Irreversible modifications (such as drilling or welding).
2.3 Components
Original ASOMTOM components are covered by a 2-year limited warranty. (If it has been more than 15 days since receiving the bicycle, shipping fees will apply for component replacements during the warranty period.)
This limited warranty does not cover:
① Components corroded due to exposure to elements (moisture, heat, etc.).
② Damage or deterioration to the product's surface finish, appearance, or aesthetics.
③ Labor costs associated with component replacement or conversion.
④ Defects or damage caused by accidents, misuse, improper use (including but not limited to stunt riding, racing, or similar activities not intended for the product's intended use), improper storage, exposure to liquids, chemicals, moisture, abrasives, sand, or dirt, negligence, or abnormal physical, electrical, or electromechanical stress.
⑤ Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage not caused by ASOMTOM.
⑥ Products with removed, soiled, damaged, altered, or illegible serial numbers or barcodes.
⑦ Product defects or damage caused by the use of accessories, products, or auxiliary/peripheral equipment not provided or endorsed by ASOMTOM.
⑧ Defects or damage caused by assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, servicing, repair, or adjustment of the product in a manner inconsistent with the assembly instructions or user manual.
⑨ Defects or damage caused by external factors, such as collisions, fires, floods, storms, lightning, earthquakes, exposure to weather conditions, theft, blown fuses, or any improper use of power sources.
⑩ Normal wear and tear that is not caused by manufacturing or material defects, such as tires, brakes, and other wear-prone components. ASOMTOM can assess wear and tear.
3.Claims Procedure
3.1 Warranty Claims
All claims for this warranty must be submitted to and processed by ASOMTOM at service@asomtom.com. Purchase receipts and photos or videos of the damaged product need to be submitted with any warranty request. We encourage you to contact ASOMTOM through service@asomtom.com before filing a warranty claim, as your issue may have a simple solution that does not require a claim.
Valid warranty claims made within 2 years from the initial purchase will be processed by ASOMTOM.
Defective displays, batteries, motors, and controllers need to be returned, and a $80 deposit is required for replacements, which will be refunded upon the return of the defective parts.
No replacement parts will be provided by ASOMTOM without first seeing photos or videos of the damaged product. Customers must provide this evidence via email.
Note: ASOMTOM will provide free replacement components and parts within the scope of liability (excluding shipping fees). Any installation costs will not be covered without authorization from the after-sales team.
3.2 Shipping Damage Claims
In rare cases, items received may be damaged during transportation. If shipping damage occurs, please contact service@asomtom.com and provide photos or videos as proof.
Any free accessories that are scratched during shipping will not be replaced or compensated.
Note: The following situations will be considered normal and are not covered by the free replacement or refund policy:
① Minor damage to the outer packaging.
② Slight scratches or paint chipping on the product.
③ Bendable parts that are bent due to transportation.
④ Damage to parts or wear-prone components after a certain period of time or usage.
We will not accept shipping damage claims submitted more than 7 days after receiving any product.
4.Repair Services
For offline bicycle shop repair services, ASOMTOM will only provide free replacement components and parts within the scope of liability (excluding shipping fees). We do not reimburse any labor costs incurred from repair services.
