How to replace the rear hydraulic brake for Q7/E300
Replacing the rear hydraulic brake can be a bit intricate, but it is not difficult. If you need to replace the rear hydraulic brake, you can follow the steps I provide to complete the replacement. Tools required: Multi-function hex wrench, zip ties, scissors
Step 1: Remove the battery.

Step 2: Disconnect the right rear brake wiring.

Step 3: Remove the grip, throttle handle, and right rear brake lever.

Step 4: Remove the right brake oil hose. You can use tape to seal the hose to prevent oil leakage.

Step 5: Flip the bike over.

Step 6: Remove the inner cover of the battery.

Step 7: Remove the battery knob.

Step 8: Remove the three hex screws on the seat of the battery base and remove the battery seat.

Step 9: Remove the three hex screws on the bottom seat of the battery base.

Step 10: Remove the left side cover.

Step 11: Cut the zip tie securing the entire wire and remove the oil hose from the controller.

Step 12: Cut the zip tie securing the motor wires.

Step 13: Remove the right rear brake caliper.

Step 14: Install the new right rear brake caliper.

Step 15: Arrange the wire routing and install the battery seat.

Step 16: Secure the entire wire with zip ties and secure the battery inner cover.

Step 17: Secure the motor wires and brake lines with zip ties.

Step 18: Install the left side cover.

Step 19: Flip the bike back over.
Step 20: Install the right rear brake lever, throttle handle, and grip.

Step 21: Insert the new oil hose.

Step 22: Connect the right rear brake wiring.

So when I received the replacement rear brake the hose line has a metal stopper in the end of it. Does that need to be removed before inserting into the brake caliper? Just not seeing any up close photos and it seems to leak everywhere with it removed.
